About this scholarship
The Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarships support graduate-level study in Rotary’s areas of focus: peace, disease prevention, water and sanitation, maternal health, education, and economic development. Scholars become Rotary Ambassadors, sharing their experiences with clubs during and after their studies.
Eligibility
- Be a citizen of a country where Rotary is active
- Have completed at least two years of college coursework
- Not have studied in your proposed host country within 5 years
- Have conversational ability in host country language
- Must align with Rotary's areas of focus

Required Documents
- Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
- Bachelor's degree certificate and transcripts
- Two academic reference letters
- English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)
- Updated CV/Resume
- Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
- Proof of financial capability (if applicable)
How to Apply
- Note: the Rotary Foundation's Ambassadorial Scholarships programme ended in 2013 and was replaced by Rotary Global Grant Scholarships, which fund graduate-level study or research abroad (one to four years) in one of Rotary's areas of focus
- Prospective scholars apply through a local Rotary club or district (find one via the Rotary Club Locator), which sponsors and submits the global-grant application online, and must secure university admission before final approval
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis (submit at least about three months before departure)
