DAAD-SECIHTI Joint Master’s Scholarship
About this scholarship
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Mexico’s SECIHTI have jointly launched this scholarship for Mexican graduates to pursue fully funded Master’s degrees at state-recognized German universities. The program supports students in high-demand academic fields and is designed to build advanced professional skills and international careers. Programs may begin in winter semester 2026 or summer semester 2027. Germany’s universities offer world-class education with zero or minimal tuition fees, making this an exceptional opportunity.
Eligibility
- Must hold Mexican nationality.
- Must have completed a bachelor's degree with strong academic results.
- Must be accepted or applying to a Master's program at a state or state-recognized German university.
- Should not have been residing in Germany for more than 15 consecutive months at the time of application.
- Must demonstrate strong motivation and clear career goals related to the chosen program.

- tuition fee coverage at German public universities (which are generally tuition-free)
- German language course support if needed

- Motivation letter explaining academic and career goals
- Academic transcripts and degree certificates
- Letter of admission or proof of application to a German university
- Language proficiency certificate (English or German as required by the program)
- Two academic reference letters
- Research or study proposal
- Valid passport copy
