About this scholarship
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme is funded by the Hungarian Government and managed by Tempus Public Foundation. It offers fully funded scholarships to international students from over 80 partner countries to study at Hungarian universities. Hungary has a strong tradition in sciences, engineering, and medicine, and offers excellent value education in English. The programme covers over 600 study programmes in English at 28 Hungarian higher education institutions.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen of a Stipendium Hungaricum partner country (80+ countries including Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Nigeria, etc.). Must not hold Hungarian citizenship. Must meet the academic requirements of the chosen programme. Must have completed secondary school (for Bachelor's) or Bachelor's degree (for Master's). Must have adequate English proficiency for English-taught programmes. Age limit varies by study level.

Full tuition coverage at the chosen Hungarian university, monthly stipend (non-degree/Bachelor: HUF 43,700, Master: HUF 43,700, PhD: HUF 140,000), contribution to accommodation costs or dormitory placement, medical insurance, no application fee, preparatory Hungarian language course available

How to Apply
- Apply through a dual process: submit the online application via the Tempus Public Foundation system AND apply through your country's Sending Partner (the responsible ministry/agency), each with its own requirements and deadlines
- Choose up to two study programmes in order of preference
- Universities may hold entrance exams; doctoral applicants should secure a supervisor
