ICTP, established by Pakistani Nobel laureate Abdus Salam, offers various fellowship and diploma programs in theoretical physics, mathematics, and quantitative biology. Located in Trieste, Italy, ICTP’s programs are specifically designed to support researchers from developing countries. The Postgraduate Diploma Programme is a one-year intensive course preparing students for PhD programs at top institutions worldwide.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen of a developing country. For Postgraduate Diploma: must hold a BSc or MSc in physics, mathematics, or related field. Must be under 28 years of age. For Sandwich PhD: must be enrolled in a PhD at a developing country institution. For Associates: must hold a PhD and be under 45. Strong academic record and research potential required.
