About this scholarship
Australia Awards Scholarships are prestigious international scholarships funded by the Australian Government. This specific stream supports applicants from Pacific Island countries and Timor-Leste to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Australia. The program contributes to the development needs of Australia’s partner countries and is administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Priority is given to fields aligned with each country’s development priorities.
Eligibility
Must be a citizen and resident of an eligible Pacific Island country or Timor-Leste. Must not hold Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or be applying for an Australian visa. Must be at least 18 years old at the start of the scholarship. Must meet the admission requirements of the Australian university. Must have a minimum of two years work experience (for postgraduate applicants). Must not currently be serving military personnel.
