DiSCo Lazio Right to Study Scholarship 2026/2027 (Regione Lazio, Italy)

The DiSCo Lazio Right to Study Scholarship (Borsa di Studio per il Diritto allo Studio) is the regional, need plus merit based support scheme for university students in the Lazio region of Italy, delivered by DiSCo Lazio on behalf of Regione Lazio. It provides an annual maintenance grant, subsidised meals, the option of university accommodation, contributions for international mobility, and graduation prizes, to students enrolled at any university, AFAM institution, or higher-education institute with its legal seat in Lazio. The 2026/2027 call is open: applications run from 10 June 2026 to noon on 22 July 2026. It is open to Italian and international students alike, with international students and Italians resident abroad assessed through a parified income indicator (ISEEUP). The scheme is one of the largest of its kind in Italy and in 2025/2026 reached over 38,000 student winners.

• Enrol, or intend to enrol, at a university, AFAM institution, or higher-education institute with legal seat in Lazio (for example Sapienza, Tor Vergata, Roma Tre).
• Meet the income test (2025/2026 limits: ISEE up to EUR 27,948.60, ISPE up to EUR 60,757.87; international students and Italians abroad use the ISEEUP).
• Meet the merit test (a minimum number of credits/CFU by a set date for students past the first year).
• Pay the regional right-to-study tax where required.
• Amount depends on residency category: in sede (in the university's town or fully online), pendolare (commuter), fuori sede (over 50 km away with a valid 10-month rental contract), or pendolare calcolato.

• Annual maintenance scholarship
• Subsidised university meals (two meals a day, about EUR 600/year of value)
• Option to apply for a place in DiSCo university residences (accommodation ranking extended to ISEE up to EUR 40,000 in 2025/2026)
• Contributions for international mobility (study or internship abroad)

• Under Italian right-to-study rules, scholarship winners are generally exempt from university tuition fees and the regional tax (confirm exact terms in the bando).

• Identity Document
• SPID or CIE to access the portal
• The DSU for the university ISEE
• IBAN for payment; for off-site students a registered rental contract.
• International students and Italians resident abroad complete an ISEEUP at a CAF that has an agreement with DiSCo.
• The supporting documentation must be issued by the Italian diplomatic authorities in the country of residence and officially translated into Italian
• Full original household composition (name, surname, date of birth of each member)
• 2024 gross income of each member (state if none)
• Real estate owned as of 31 December 2024 with surface area, and movable assets (state if none)
• Any rent paid for the household's dwelling.
• Self-certifications, substitute declarations, affidavits, and sworn statements are not accepted.
• Start gathering consular documents early because translation and issuance take time.

• Log in to the student reserved area (Area Riservata) on laziodisco.it using SPID or CIE.
• Open the 2026/2027 call form, select your university, course and year, and tick each benefit (scholarship, accommodation, meals).
• Upload any required PDF attachments (for example legalised and translated consular documents for international students).
• Submit definitively; the system issues a receipt with an ID number. An un-submitted draft is not considered.
• Subscribe the DSU for the university ISEE (or the ISEEUP at a CAF if your family is abroad) by 22 July 2026.
• If you unlock an application to edit it, you must re-submit before the deadline or you are excluded.
