ERSU Palermo Right to Study Scholarship 2026/27 (Sicily, Italy)
About this scholarship
ERSU Palermo (Ente Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario di Palermo) is the Sicilian regional agency that delivers right-to-study support for university students in western Sicily, on behalf of Regione Siciliana.
It pairs an annual cash maintenance grant with university tuition exemption, free or subsidised meals, and the option of a place in a university residence, for capable students from lower-income households.
It covers the University of Palermo, LUMSA Palermo, UniCamillus Cefalu, and SSML CIELS Palermo, plus the area’s AFAM institutions: the Academies of Fine Arts and the Music Conservatories in Palermo, Trapani, Agrigento, Caltanissetta, Ribera, and San Martino delle Scale.
It is open to Italian and international students alike, with students whose family lives abroad assessed through a parified income indicator (ISEEU/ISPEU parificato).
For the 2025/26 cycle the grant ranged from about EUR 1,425 to about EUR 8,133, depending on residency status and income band.
The 2026/27 call is the relevant cycle now; applications are submitted online, and in recent years the deadline has fallen at 14:00 on 22 July.
International students should prepare their parified-income documents early through the ERSU-partnered CAF, because the paperwork takes time and the deadline is firm.
