Italian Government Scholarship for Foreign Students

The Italian Government offers scholarships to foreign citizens and Italian citizens abroad through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. • Citizens of countries with which Italy has bilateral agreements (most countries worldwide)
• Maximum age 28-30 depending on level
• Good academic standing
• Interest in Italian culture or language
• IELTS required for English-taught programs; Italian proficiency for Italian programs

• Monthly grant of EUR 900 for study at public universities
• Health insurance
• Housing not included but low-cost university accommodation available
• Exemption from visa fees

• Valid passport (min 6 months validity)
• Bachelor's and Master's degree certificates and transcripts
• Research proposal (2-5 pages)
• Two academic reference letters
• English language proficiency (IELTS 6.5+ or TOEFL 90+)
• Updated CV/Resume
• Statement of purpose / Motivation letter
• Publications list (if any)

• Be a citizen of an eligible country (foreign students not residing in Italy) or an Italian citizen living abroad, meeting the age and academic requirements and the B2 language level (Italian or English)
• Apply exclusively online through the Study in Italy portal by the deadline (around late March)
• Upload your degrees/transcripts, language certificate, and (for PhD) an admission letter or (for research) a supervisor's invitation
